I got a call about 2 months ago from an organization that I had previously contact about providing apparel for an event that they have once every four years. The call consisted of, our vendor that we had previously chosen has filed for bankruptcy, do you want to step in? Of course the answer was "Yes!", since this event was for between 15-20k people. The only catch was we had to have all of our product ready within about 3 1/2 weeks. Including coming up with designs, order, making, and having it to their facility that was 1/2 way across the US.
Long story short, we took the job, make the deadlines (mostly), and are now headed to Orlando on Saturday to staff the sales booth. All in all, we shipped about 5k items, and stand to make a nice profit.....if the people buy.
